This app's liberal rules push the edge down to ~0.26%.

This is the expected long-run cost, not a guarantee. The math is bet × hands × hours × edge— the average you'd lose over a very large number of hands. Any single session can swing well above or below it. For entertainment only.

What the house edge means

The house edge is the share of each bet the casino keeps on average. A 1% edge on a $25 bet costs 25 cents per hand in the long run — small per hand, but it compounds with every wager. That is why pace (hands per hour) and time matter as much as bet size.

For the full breakdown of any game, see the odds & house-edge simulations or the strategy guides. Then try the lowest-edge plays for free at a play-money table.

FAQ

How is the expected cost calculated?

Expected cost = bet size × hands (or spins/rolls) per hour × hours played × house edge. It is the average amount you would lose over a very large number of hands — not a prediction of any single session.

Where do the house edge figures come from?

Every edge is taken from this site's own odds and simulation figures — for example blackjack about 0.5% (0.26% under our liberal rules), baccarat Banker 1.06%, European roulette 2.70%, and the free Odds bet in craps at 0%.

Will I actually lose that exact amount?

No. The house edge is a long-run average. Over a single session your results will swing above or below it, sometimes far. The calculator estimates the expected long-run cost, not a guaranteed loss.
